NAMI PEER-TO-PEER CLASS, NAMI SONOMA COUNTY

Description: Provides a free, eight-session, peer-to-peer educational program for adults with mental illness. Program offers mutual support in a confidential space. Helps participants better understand themselves and their recovery. Includes the following opportunities for participants:
- Setting a vision and goals for the future
- Developing confidence to make decisions
- Practicing relaxation and stress reduction techniques
- Enhancing communication skills
- Sharing one's personal experience with their peers in the group
- Learning about mental health treatment options
