Description:
Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT): Provides transportation to individuals who need assistance getting to and from medical appointments. Driver provides help to individuals with physical or mental disability who cannot get to appointments on their own. Utilizes specialized vehicles such as ambulance, litter van, wheelchair van, or air transport. Also provides mileage reimbursement to friends or family members. Call at least five business days before appointment. For urgent appointments, call as soon as possible.
Non-Medical Transportation (NMT): Offers individuals transportation to their medical appointments for Medi-Cal covered services. Call at least five business days before appointment. For urgent appointments, call as soon as possible.
