  General Disaster Preparation: ReadyVenturaCounty.gov provides disaster preparedness information, including how to make an emergency plan. Provides information about all local hazards and how to prepare for each hazard.

  • • Use the County of Ventura interactive Flood Zone map to identify local flood zones.

  Real-Time Emergency Information: VCEmergency provides information on current emergency situations, including an Incident Dashboard map of current evacuation areas and power outages.

  • • Extreme Weather: VCEmergency will also provide information about sandbags, warming centers, and cooling centers when they become available due to extreme weather.
    • Sandbags: Local VCFD fire stations keep sandbag supplies on hand to help protect property from flooding. Additional sandbag locations may be available and listed on VCEmergency.com during periods of extreme weather.
      

  Emergency-Related Notifications: Ventura County uses the VC Alert Emergency Notification System to notify residents of health or safety threats. All ten Ventura County cities participate in the VC Alert System. Residents are encouraged to sign up to receive alerts.

  Disaster Recovery: Ventura County Recovers provides information about disaster recovery and related resources, including debris removal and financial assistance.
