Description: Offers financial assistance to adults who are legal residents of Ventura County who have no other means of support. Eligible adults may receive direct payments up to $310 to their landlords and/or utility companies. General Relief payments are considered a loan and must be repaid.
Eligibility: -Must be a resident of Ventura County between 18 and 64 years of age with no dependent children.
-Individual may qualify if they are poor, destitute, unable to work due to mental or physical disability, or incapacitated by age, disease or accident and you are not supported by relatives, friends or any other source.
-Must be actively seeking employment if you are able to work.
-Incomes must be within allowable limits, with property value not to exceed $1,000, and available cash on hand and in saving accounts not to exceed $100.
