Provides Section 8 rental subsidies for low income households. Maintains lists of available rental housing that is owned or managed by individuals who have agreed to accept tenants who have Section 8 certificates.
Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years of age or emancipated by state law.
Must be at or below income limits (found on website).
Must work or live in the City of Oxnard.
Must be a legal resident of the United States.
All individuals 18 and older must be able to pass a local and nationwide criminal background check.
Priority is given to families, individuals 62 years of age or older, and disabled/handicapped individuals.
Requirements: -Birth certificates for all family members
-Social Security Card for all family members
-Driver's License or ID card for all family members 18 years of age or older
-Completed Declaration of Eligibility for Assisted Housing (HUD Form 214) for each family member
-Copy of Alien Registration Card (front and back) if applicable
-Authorization for Release of Information signed by all family members 18 years of age and older
-Authorization form to Obtain Records signed by all family members 18 years of age and older
-Current proof of residency (lease, utility bill, income verification, driver's license, ID, or bank statement)
-Current income verification
-Current verification of all assets
