Description: Offers door-to-door Dial-A-Ride program for persons 65 years of age or older. Also for individuals who hold an Americans with Disabilities (ADA) card.
ADA certified clients: The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a Federal Law that prohibits discrimination based on one's disability in regard to employment, public services, and transportation. The ADA guarantees people with disabilities equal access to public transportation. Public transportation providers cannot refuse service to those with disabilities.
Hours: Dial-A-Ride Operation Hours:
Monday-Friday: 5am-7:30pm
Saturday and Sunday: 7am-7:30pm
Customer Service Hours:
Monday to Friday: 4:30am-8:30pm
Saturday: 6:30am-8:30pm
Closed on Sundays
Eligibility: Must be 65 years of age or older or must have Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) card as proof of disability.
To become eligible to use any ADA transportation service in Ventura County, client must complete an application for ADA eligibility certification. The application requires client (or someone completing the form on client's behalf) to explain why applicant is unable to use the regular public bus service.
