• Description: Provides out-of-home care and support for children, teens, and young adults who, for various reasons, are unable to live with their families. Social workers assist individuals/couples in completing all requirements to be licensed foster parents in California. Provides all the necessary support to the foster family, foster child(ren), and biological family in support of the reunification plan.Foster Care Services consist of Traditional, Intensive Treatment, and Transitional Housing services.

• Eligibility: Children, teens, and young adults who qualify for foster care and who may be neglected, physically abused, sexually abused, and whose parents are incarcerated or require drug rehabilitation.The requirements to become a licensed foster home are set forth by the State of California Community Care Licensing Division. Youth for Change will assess prospective foster parents for meeting these requirements.
