Description: Offers ADA paratransit services to riders who are unable to use fixed route services due to disability. Operates primarily within a mile boundary around the fixed-route bus services. ADA-eligible passengers who need to travel to/from medical destinations in Sacramento County can do so without needing to transfer to Sacramento Regional Transit District's (SacRT) ADA paratransit services.
Hours: Customer Service: Monday through Friday, 8 am - 6 pm, Saturdays, Sundays, 8 am - 4 pm;Bus service is available seven days a week, hours vary
Eligibility: Riders must be registered to ride with YoloBus Special. Yolobus is required to determine the eligibility for paratransit service for individual applicants. Categories of eligibility for Yolobus Special paratransit service are as follows:Persons who are unable to board, ride, or disembark from a fixed-route bus on the system which is readily accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities.Persons who need the assistance of a wheelchair lift/ramp or other boarding assistance device and are able, with such assistance, to board, ride, and disembark from any vehicle which is readily accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities if the individual wants to travel on a route of the system during the hours of operation of the system at a time, or within a reasonable period of such time, when such a vehicle is not being used to provide designated public transportation on the route. Persons with specific impairments who cannot travel to a bus stop to board the fixed-route bus, or travel to their final destination after disembarking from the fixed-route bus.
Requirements: Completed registration form and verification by a licensed health care professional.
