Eligibility: To register to vote in California, a person must:- Be a US citizen and a resident of California- Be 18 years old or older on Election Day- Not currently be serving a state or federal prison term for the conviction of a felony- Not currently be found mentally incompetent to vote by a courtTo pre-register to vote in California, a person must:- Be 16 or 17 years old- Meet all of the other eligibility requirements mentioned above
