• Description: Offers business training and financing assistance for people wanting to start or expand their businesses. Also provides technical support for refugees looking for a job or to start a new career.Programs currently available include:Microlending - Eligible clients can apply for a microloan to start or expand their business. Clients can apply up to $15,000 for start-ups and up to $50,000 for business expansion depending on qualifications.Refugee Career Pathways - For eligible clients who are interested in receiving education and/or vocational training and some financial support in the following career pathways: allied health, business, early childhood education, entrepreneurship, and information technology. May help with funding for other pathways upon review of the client's interests.In-Home Childcare Program - For eligible clients who are interested in opening an in-home childcare business. Provides some financial support, training, and licensing needed.Refugee Asset Building Program - For eligible clients who are interested in saving for one of four asset purchases (vehicle, home, higher education/training, or start a microenterprise). Program can match up to $3000 for individual clients or up to $6000 for household clients based on how much the client can save of their own personal funds. Financial literacy and asset-purchase training will be provided.Personal Consumer loans up to $2,500, credit building loans up to $1,000,secure credit cards referral
