Family and individual counseling options.Counseling supports immigrants and refugees who have:Endured traumatic stressorsAre experiencing domestic violenceThose with other mental health concernsServices Include: Case management coordination across service providers to address the assessed needs of the client Scheduling appointments Assisting with transportation arrangements Ensuring appropriate interpretation is provided Completing paperwork Advocating for clients to receive services Providing education for navigating difficult or complex systems Listening to a client during a difficult time
Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 am - Noon, 1 pm - 4:30 pm
Eligibility: Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) eligible person from the following groups:- Refugees- Asylees- Cuban and Haitian entrants- Iraqi and Afghan Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) holders- Amerasians- Victims of human traffickingLiving in the U.S. or granted status in the last 5 years.Experiencing unique challenges:- Disability or illness- Mental health symptoms- Domestic or gender-based violence- Single parent, youth, or elderly- LGBTQ+- HIV-positive- Substance abuse- Survivor of trafficking or sexual abuse- Orignally resettled out of state but now in Sacramento
