• Description: The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), offers a comprehensive range of workforce development activities. Some activities include:Apprenticeship: provides job training that involves following and studying a master at a trade on the job instead of school. Job Readiness: provides skills necessary to be successful in the workplace such as communication skills and technology skills. Occupational Skills: Training: is provided by an approved school to support in-demand short-term training programs that lead to a certificate or license.
