  • Description: A day wellness program that provides enrolled individuals with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and their loved ones with information, support, and care to help deal with the challenges of MS.Programming supports multiple aspects of our members' well-being, including:Physical Wellness: Offers individualized, staff-assisted, fitness programs to improve or maintain abilities such as strength, endurance, flexibility, and balance. Group exercises are also available.Cognitive Wellness: Offers cognitive stimulation through the use of iPad applications and written formats.Education: Offers informationon various aspects of health, wellness, and MS management through group discussions, community resources, and guest speakers.Emotional Wellness: Offers peer and staff support to individuals, aiming to teach them how toreduce stress and improve their emotional status.Social Wellness: Offersaccess to various social activities and outings throughout the year.Modifications can be made for both physical and cognitive wellness activities so individuals can participate safely.MSAC Program Application

  • Hours: Empowered to Achieve: One day per week, 10 am - 3 pm;Achieving Wellness: One day per week, 11 am - 1:30 pm, or 12:30 pm - 3 pm
  • Eligibility: The MSAC is open to anyone who has been diagnosed with MS and accepts individuals from any healthcare system. For admittance into the program, members must:- Be able to attend the full duration of the program and participate in the activities one day per week- Make arrangements for transportation to and from the MSAC- Be able to manage their toileting needs, either individually or with the assistance of a care providerIndividuals can self-refer and the MSAC staff will work with the member's physician to ensure any medical conditions are known and activities are modified accordingly.
