Description: The Low Income Taxpayer Clinic represents low-income taxpayers involved in controversies with the Internal Revenue Service. Provides education and outreach services on the rights and responsibilities of US taxpayers to individuals who speak English as a second language. The Clinic provides these services at no charge.

Eligibility: Low-income taxpayer who cannot afford professional tax services, may qualify for the LITC. The LITC chooses to represent clients on a case-by-case basis. This decision is often determined by income guidelines and other criteria. Household income cannot exceed 250% of the federal poverty guidelines.
Requirements: IRS dispute documentation and other relevant financial information.
