• Description:  Intensive Outpatient Treatment, also known as IOP, is substance abuse treatment program level of care that is determined by clinical and/or medical assessment. IOP is appropriate for those who do not need medically supervised detox, or residential level of care, however, need more than community support. Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers the following services to adolescents and adults:

• Eligibility: The program is open to those who have a desire to stop drinking and using drugs.
  
  The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed for people who are struggling with problems associated with addictions, substance use, and abuse, or the co-occurring disorders associated with substance use. Eligibility for the IOP is determined by a mandatory clinical/medical assessment, which is conducted at the center as part of the admissions process.
