CALIFORNIA SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF, CALIFORNIA STATE SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF, FREMONT

Description: Provides a public school for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students ages 3-21 in Northern California. Programs meet State standards for curriculum and assessments with direct instruction in American Sign Language (ASL) and English. Programs provided include:
- Early Childhood Education and family programs
- Elementary School
- Middle School and High School
- Career Technical Education/ Career Center
Services and referrals to families with deaf children and to the greater community are offered. Early childhood programs and support available for families with Deaf children (birth-6 years old).

Please note:
Offers ongoing services during Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) and Disasters. Services are available if power is turned off in this facility.

Eligibility: Applicants (ages 3-21) must be diagnosed Deaf or Hard of Hearing and be referred by their local school district.
Requirements: None. Local school district will provide the application paperwork.
