Description: Provides a warm and caring home away from home. For families with sick children who have traveled to receive medical care. Families are provide with housing in a non-institutional setting. Family members receive support in coping with the child's illness.
Eligibility: -The child/patient must be receiving in-patient or out-patient treatment at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals or Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford or Stanford Hospital and Clinics
-A pregnant woman who needs to be near the hospital because her baby will need urgent surgery at birth
-The child/patient must be 18 years or younger; children who have stayed at the House prior to their 18th birthday are able to use our facilities until they reach age 21.
-The family must live at least 50 miles away from the House. Note: Our distance requirement can be modified under certain conditions.
