• Description: Provides suicide bereavement support services. Helps those who are grieving the suicide death of a family member or friend. Assists professionals who work with those who are grieving a suicide tragedy. All staff and volunteers have been directly impacted by a suicide death. Peer support services aim to comfort, encourage, and educate those in grief.Services include: Suicide Loss Helpline with volunteers who have shared the tragedy of suicide Monthly newsletter of sharing and information Monthly Bereavement Support Forums Training of volunteers Information and referral for local resources Comprehensive list of printed resources, tapes, and lending library.A monthly support group sponsored by Friends for Survival meets in Chico.
