Description: Aims to provide immediate support and safety for the community while also working to address and dismantle structural inequities.Program includes:Safepoint Syringe Exchange: a free sterile syringe access and disposal service aiming to promote disease reduction. Mobile service only.Overdose Prevention and Response Training: provides training for opiate users and their friends and families on how to avoid an overdose, how to recognize an overdose, how to respond, and how to administer Nasal Narcan.Education, Response, and Access (ERA): targeted education and services for injection drug users, with an emphasis on new injectors under the age of 30. Educates on vein care, abscess avoidance, overdose prevention and response. Offers disease education testing, medical and mental health information, AOD referrals, and assistance in accessing treatment for individuals attempting to access Sacramento County AOD System of Care.Additional services include:Distribution of survival supplies (food, hygiene, water, blankets, non-prescription medications)Risk reduction education and referralsCondom and lube distributionHormone needle kits (mobile only) and fentanyl testing kits
