Description: Provides bags and sand for Sacramento County Residents to prepare sandbags to help avoid the flooding of their homes. Sacramento County's sandbag sites are intended for use by Stormwater Utility customers in unincorporated Sacramento County. Sites not operated by the County of Sacramento are intended for use by residents of the jurisdiction operating the site. The sites are self-serve. Bags and sand are available at each location, but individuals must bring their own shovels. There will be a 20-bag limit.Click here for a list of sandbag locations. Hours: Sandbags are available seven days a week, 24-hours for self-service during weather events
Eligibility: Residents of Sacramento County unincorporated areas. To be eligible to pick up sand at the sandbag sites, individuals must be within the Sacramento County Drainage Responsibility area. To determine if you're within the Sacramento County Drainage Responsibility area:- Use this lookup tool to enter your address or parcel number (https://drainagelookup.saccounty.gov/)?- If your Drainage Responsibility is "Sacramento County Water Resources" then you are eligible to use one of the sandbag sites.
Requirements: Proof of address at staffed locations.
