Description: Offers down payment assistance and/or closing cost assistance to first-generation and first-time homebuyers. Offers up to 20% for down payment or closing costs, not to exceed $150,000. The program is accessed through CalHFA's network of approved lenders and is to be used with the CalHFA Dream For All Conventional First Mortgage.This is not a first come, first serve program. The interested homebuyer must register for a voucher on the website. A randomized drawing will select registrants who will receive the voucher. The application window closed on 4/29/2024 and new applications cannot be submitted.Visit the Voucher Portal to check on the status of an existing application.

Eligibility: Each borrower must:- Be a first-time homebuyer.- Be either a citizen or other National of the United States, or a "Qualified Alien".- Meet credit, income, and loan requirements of CalHFA's first mortgage loan program. CalHFA's income limit for Sacramento County is $180,000.At least one borrower must:- Be a first-generation homebuyer.- Be a current California resident.
Requirements: - California Dream for All Lender Pre-Approval Letter (should be provided by a CalHFA Approved Lender) - Government IDs for all borrowers: Passport, driver's license, state-issued ID, military ID, permanent residence cards, visas, or employment authorization documents - Proof of residence: Government ID, utility bill, cell phone bill, insurance bill, voter registration, or car registration - Parent information (if applicable): name, date of birth, residential address- Foster care documentation (if applicable): Foster Care Verification Form/Letter or court documents
