AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAMS, HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA BARBARA

Description: Provides rental subsidies (Section 8) for low-income households. Applicants must meet income and household requirements and generally are required to pay 30% to 40% of income toward rent.

Vacancies are offered to applicants from current waitlists.

COVID-19 Update: Temporarily suspending all face-to-face office visits, business will be conducted by phone, email, or mail. Currently available Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5pm, and every other Friday from 8am-4pm
-Inspections: Unit inspections will cease until further notice, except for new move-ins, or if an urgent health and safety issues exists
-Housing Authority Owned Developments: All community rooms will be closed until further notice. Laundry rooms will remain open.
-Maintenance Requests: Call Maintenance Office during normal business hours at 805-897-1060, or for after-hours emergencies call 805-965-1071.
