GETTING AHEAD, PARTNERS FOR CHANGE TRI-VALLEY

Description:
Provides a four-month life skills course to help individuals and families become self-sufficient. Participants set financial goals and work with their mentor for support. Participants continue to meet up to 24 months after the class has concluded. Once goals are met, participants contribute to the community by becoming mentors themselves.

Eligibility: Open to all. -Must currently be free of any substance abuse or uncontrolled mental health issue. -Must be prepared to commit to a four-month program of group classes. -Must commit to follow-up meetings for 14 to 20 months with mentors to discuss goals set.
