GETTING AHEAD, PARTNERS FOR CHANGE TRI-VALLEY

Description: Helps individuals or families become self-sufficient through a four-month life skills course. Class requires participants to set goals for economic improvement. Provides mentors as a support system to build connections and achieve goals. Participants meet with mentors up to 24 months after the class has concluded. Once goals are met, participants contribute to the community by becoming mentors themselves.

Note: Classes are offered both in person and via zoom.

Eligibility: Open to all. -Must currently be free of any substance abuse or uncontrolled mental health issue. -Must be prepared to commit to a four-month program of group classes. -Must commit to follow-up meetings for 14 to 20 months with mentors to discuss goals set.
