  • Description: Offers a loan program to homeowners to create an affordable rental unit on their property. When creating a new Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) assistance is given with:
    - Financing
    - Designing
    - Permitting
    - Constructing

    Assistance is also available to rehabilitate and bring up to code an existing un-permitted unit. Two loan options available:

    - New ADU Construction Loan - three-year loan with 1% simple interest for up to $150,000 maximum. Deferred payments for three years.

    - Existing Unpermitted ADU Loan - 20-year loan with 1% simple interest up to $75,000 maximum. Deferred payments for the first fix years.


    An accessory dwelling unit (ADU) is a smaller, independent residential dwelling unit located on the same lot as a stand-alone (i.e., detached) single-family home. ADUs go by many different names throughout the U.S., including accessory apartments, secondary suites, and granny flats.
