Description: Manages cases of adults and juveniles placed on probation by the Superior Courts in Yolo County, to include the placement of minors out-of-home when ordered by the court. Monitoring services may also be provided to clients placed on probation by other counties but who reside in Yolo County.Also operates a juvenile detention facility for short-term detention of minors going through the juvenile court process who have been ordered into detention by the court; a work program to enable criminal defendants ordered by the court to complete a program of community service work in lieu of paying a fine or in lieu of jail confinement; an own recognizance investigation program to enable the courts to consider releasing adults accused of crime from custody pending further hearing without bail on their own recognizance.
Eligibility: Service is limited to juveniles referred by law enforcement authorities upon arrest, to juveniles and/or adults referred by courts of jurisdiction, to Child Custody, Step-parent Adoption matters referred by the Superior Courts in Yolo County.
